🔁 Visual Walkthrough — Hire Again & Subscriptions

Repeat a Service Without Starting Over

Rebook the same provider in one tap, or set up an ongoing weekly/monthly subscription — with automatic fallback if your provider can't make it.

1

Where It Starts — A Completed Job

What to do

Once a service provider finishes a job and you confirm completion, that job's card on your dashboard grows two new buttons.

"Hire Again" rebooks that same provider one more time. "Repeat…" (shown only for certain services) sets up an ongoing subscription instead. Both only appear once the job is marked Completed and has a known provider and price.

"Repeat…" only appears for Home Cleaning, Gardening, Refuse Removal, and Pool Repair & Maintenance.

You choose: a one-time rebook, or an ongoing subscription.

2

"Hire Again" — One-Tap Rebook

What to do

Tap "Hire Again" on a completed job's card.

You land on that service's booking page (e.g. hellogroom.co.za/electrical?rebook=78), pre-filled with your previous problem description, photos, address, province and city — targeted at the same provider, at the price you already agreed.

Everything is editable before you submit — nothing is locked in until you tap Submit.

💡 Tip: Reused photos are copied, not shared — editing this booking's images never touches the original job.

A private request is sent to that one provider — it is not broadcast to the open market.

3

Your Provider Gets Notified

What to do

The provider receives a push/email/SMS notification about your repeat request the moment you submit.

They have 24 hours to Accept or Decline at the price you already agreed — no renegotiating, and no other provider can bid on this job while it's pending.

If they haven't responded after about 12 hours, they get a reminder automatically.

The provider accepts, declines, or the 24-hour window runs out.

4

What You See While You Wait

What to do

On your dashboard, this job's card shows an orange "Awaiting provider" label instead of a pay button.

No payment is possible yet — you can't pay until the provider actually confirms they can do the job. This protects you from paying for a visit that might not happen.

You'll be notified the moment the provider responds.

5

They Accept — Pay Now

What to do

The moment the provider accepts, "Awaiting provider" turns into a green "Pay Now" button on that same job card.

Tap it to go through the same secure TradeSafe checkout as any normal booking. Your money is held in escrow and only released to the provider once you confirm the work is done.

You'll also get an SMS, email and push notification the moment they accept, so you never have to keep checking back.

Payment done, job status moves to Planned — same as any other job.

6

If They Can't Take It — Automatic Fallback

What to do

If the provider declines, or simply doesn't respond within 24 hours, nothing is lost.

Your job automatically reopens to the wider market of nearby verified providers — exactly like posting a fresh job. You'll start receiving new offers to compare and accept.

Still no offers 24 hours after that? Our admin team gets alerted and steps in to help place your job.

You're never stuck waiting indefinitely on one provider.

7

Setting Up a Recurring Subscription

What to do

On a completed job for Home Cleaning, Gardening, Refuse Removal, or Pool Repair & Maintenance, tap "Repeat…" instead of "Hire Again".

Choose how often you want the visit — Every Week, Every 2 Weeks, Every 3 Weeks, or Monthly — plus an optional start date, then confirm.

You can also tick "Repeat this service?" right on the original booking form before the first visit even happens — the subscription itself is only created once that first job completes.

A subscription is created, linked to the same provider and price.

8

How You Pay for Each Repeat Visit

What to do

Every repeat visit is paid the same way as your very first booking — there's no automatic card charging.

Once your regular provider accepts a scheduled visit, you'll get an SMS, email and push notification with a link to pay. Tap it to complete the same secure TradeSafe checkout, with your money held in escrow until you confirm the work.

Automatic card payments aren't available yet — TradeSafe doesn't currently support charging a saved card without you at checkout. We're planning to add this with a different payment provider in a future update.

You stay in control — nothing is ever charged without you tapping Pay.

9

"My Subscriptions" — Manage Everything

What to do

Scroll down on your dashboard to "My Subscriptions" to see every active subscription.

Each card shows the service, frequency, next visit date, price and provider — with Pause, Resume, Skip Next Visit, and Cancel actions.

Pause, Skip, and Cancel all take effect immediately — you never have to wait for a scheduled date to make a change.

Full control over your recurring service, anytime.

10

How Each Visit Gets Created

What to do

A few days before each due date, the system automatically creates that visit as a normal job — no action needed from you.

It's sent to your regular provider first, as a direct request with the same 24-hour accept/decline flow as Hire Again (Steps 3–6). If they can't take it, it automatically falls back to the open market.

You get a notification either way — "your next visit is scheduled" or "we're finding you a new provider".

Your recurring visit is booked without you having to re-post anything.

11

Paying For Each Visit

What to do

A "Pay Now" button appears on that visit's job card the moment your provider accepts — the same button as Steps 4–5.

You'll also get an SMS, email and push notification so you never miss it. Tap Pay Now to complete the same secure TradeSafe checkout you used for your first booking, at the price you already agreed.

Your visit is paid and locked in, same as any other job.

12

If a Different Provider Steps In

What to do

Sometimes your regular provider can't make a particular visit, and a fallback provider completes it instead.

When that happens, you'll get a notification asking: "Make [Name] your regular provider?" Accepting updates your subscription's provider and price to match. Dismissing keeps everything exactly as it was — your next visit still tries your original provider first.

💡 Tip: You decide — nothing changes automatically without your say-so.

You always stay in control of who does your recurring service.
